Hello again and welcome to our blog, friends!
By now you’ve probably read our first post detailing the history of bars in the United States, so you can perhaps understand why absolutely love this topic and want to share it with the world. If you haven’t read our welcome post, we suggest you do because you’ll probably find some interesting things on there.
Since we dedicated a section of the blog to the history of bars and other alcohol-serving establishments in the United States, we thought we should also have a special section exploring the history of the blog, and the history of us.
Read this post to find out more about the creators of the blog and why we decided to create it in the first place.
Who Are We
We are obviously a group of people that frequents bars and pretend that we are in sitcom. Jokes aside, we are friends who met in college a few years ago. We immediately bonded over games of beer pong, and we soon started living together.
Our favorite time of the year was spring break, but rather than going to Florida (none of us are from this state), we would go to one of our home states and get to explore new places with a very knowledgeable tour guide (our own friends).
It’s one thing to go on a vacation somewhere, and another to visit someone’s home. The host would always tell and show you many more interesting things than the hottest tourist spots. Of course, this applies to bars. Once we all turned 21, we set to map out our local areas to find the best bars to bring our college friends to.
Why We Created the Blog
Even the host was sometimes surprised by the sheer creativity of some of these bars, so we changed our tactics and rather than find the bars with cheapest drinks for poor students, we decided to instead look out for these unique establishments that would make us remember them forever.
Once we started doing this, we found a whole new world of fascinating bar décor and cocktails you’ve never heard of before. It was worth it to go on this adventure and we thought that we wanted to share it with others and inspire them to do the same. You probably don’t need much persuasion if you’re already on this blog, but go ahead and do it!
Since we were already visiting every interesting bar we could find, we thought we could at least document our travels and give an honest review of these venues. On this website, you’d be able to find dozens of bars that somehow captured our hearts and excited our taste buds.
We will provide you with a brief review of each bar, followed by the address of the venue and any other necessary information. Some articles, however, might be dedicated to a single bar if we were really charmed by it. So, expect something along these lines.
Thank You
Thank you again for your support! We hope to become your number one website for checking out fantastic out-of-the-box bars around the country. Remember to have fun and drink responsibly.
